Josh Zimmelman

Our go-to numbers man, Josh brings over 20 years of accounting and tax experience to the Levitax team. He has worked in several accounting firms and has handled tax matters of varying complexity. Since 2010, Josh has been at the helm of his own tax firm and he brings all the lessons and experience gained managing a team of accountants and weathering decades of tax seasons with him to help revolutionize the tax experience at Levitax. His expertise has led him to be extensively quoted in esteemed publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post and Forbes. When he’s not crunching numbers, you can find Josh spending time with his wife and kids, cooking up great eats, and watching The Sopranos, again.

Tami Zimmelman

Tami is Levitax’s resident tax law aficionado. After spending fifteen years working for the federal government, and a number of years in the private sector, Tami knows the ins-and-outs of tax law. Tami has extensive experience navigating the IRS and various state authorities, including a real expertise in sales tax. When she’s not busy working, Tami is an accomplished professional pianist who loves to travel with her husband and kids. Ask her for recommendations for Iceland, piano tips, and anything Bon Jovi related.

Leo Baskin

Leo is Levitax’s in-house technology expert. A trained software engineer, he brings years of technology experience to help drive innovation that saves clients time and creates a smoother and simpler experience with filing their taxes. Since his first experience with a car phone, he was hooked on technology and how it can transform lives. Outside of tech, Leo enjoys running, binging on great tv and traveling off the beaten path.

Marie Baskin

Marie brings years of legal experience to the Levitax team. Marie has extensive experience working in the private sector, from compliance to acquisitions and mergers– Marie knows how the tax and legal worlds are intertwined and helps clients navigate the challenges. Marie brings her acumen and legal know-how to the team to make sure that all aspects of tax compliance are in order. Inspired to become a lawyer by watching TV legal dramas as a child, Marie has found her perfect blend of social and introspective work in the legal world. After a tough day assisting her clients, you can find Marie winding down with a rerun of Scrubs or in a cycling class.
